The Dobson Dobermann

// December 7th, 2009 // No Comments » // Latest News, Product Reviews

We recently started carrying our third “Fabrique au Canada” brand, Dobermann Bikes from Gatneau, QC. The first two being Cycles Marinoni and Rocky Mountain, who still make their high end bikes right here on Annacis Island. Dobermann builds the slickest street, park and dirt jump frames on the market. Few companies spare this much attention to detail when building their bikes, and even fewer can produce a hand-built-in-Canada bike at these prices. Starting at $575 for a Pincher frame, you can also add options like custom colours, dérailleur and chain guide mounts, even gt your name stamped in to the bottom bracket.

Our long time mechanic and resident BMX guru, Dustin just picked up a shiny new black Pincher frame and gave it the royal treatment. RockShox Argyle 409 fork, Profile cranks, with Mavic rims on super burly Shimano Saint hubs and Highlighter-Yellow Funn Bar, Stem and Pedals for extra street cred. Stop by to check it out, but be warned – one ride and you’ll be ordering one for yourself.

Campagnolo Centaur equiped Marinoni Sportivo

Campagnolo Centaur equiped Marinoni Sportivo

Cycles Marinoni has been a great addition to our lineup since we opened our account with them in November. This is one of the first of their beautiful bikes to come through our doors, and it is a stellar example of their quality. Hand built with columbus steel in Quebec, and spec’d with a full Campagnolo Centaur grouppo. This Marinoni Sportivo sports curved seatstays for a softer ride, and braze-on mounts for a rear rack, while weighing in just shy of 21 lbs. Not too shabby for a steel bike with a triple crank on it.
